Furbabies

I thought I would post a picture of our furbabies, Linus (orange) and Lizzie (torti.)

Personalized Tote

When C and I first started planning our wedding, we decided to be traditional and have a wedding party. So right away we started buying gifts for our WP (We love giving gifts!) Soon after we purchased all the gifts, we changed the date and we decided to not have a wedding party. So what to do with the gifts?? Christmas will be here before we know it!

For the flower girls and junior bridemaid I had purchased a pack of totes from Michael's and used iron-on gems to put their names on a tote. And to make each a little more personal I adding patches/gems with an activity they like.

In each bag we put candy, lip glosses, bubble bath, glow-sticks, etc. I purchased a lot of the bag fillers from the dollar section in Michael's! I think this is a great way to give a personalized gift, and relatively inexpensive. Overall I spent about $15 per bag and it took less than an hour of my time. Plus, when they are done using everything inside the bag, they still have their own personalized tote!!

Sweet Bologna Roll-ups

As we were heading to the grocery store on Sunday, Chad remembered that he volunteered me to make an appetizer for a work party this week. I decided that something simple was in order because I was working out of town and would be home later than normal. There is nothing simpler than these Sweet Bologna Roll-ups (this is what we call them.)

First, please ignore the dirty looking thumb nail. I was so excited to start a spray painting project, which I will be posting, that I forgot to put on latex gloves! Back to the roll-ups, I said simple because only 2 ingredients are required; sweet bologna and cream cheese. Just spread the cream cheese, a generous amount, onto a bologna slice, roll, and cut. We added toothpicks to make handling easier.

Suggestion: You could also place a dill pickle spear each in bologna slice and roll. I didn't use them because we didn't have any on hand.

Chad reported back that these were a hit and they were all gone by the end of the day. Success!
